I’m currently riding the wave of lose a bit, gain a bit. I’ve been working out at 30 Minute Hit. According to the website, it’s a “high intensity action packed Boxing / Kickboxing Circuit workout designed just for women. Fast paced, challenging and empowering, this one of a kind workout appeals to all levels of fitness in a friendly non-intimidating, exciting environment.” I think of it as a quick workout where I get to hit things. It’s easy to get done and very relaxing.
I feel good. After two weeks, I’m seeing some definition in my upper body. My abdominals are still buried but I can feel them under there…somewhere. I’m also frustrated. After three weeks of a weight loss challenge, I’m up a pound. To add insult to injury, Roger has consistently lost weight. I’m mostly happy for him…kinda.
Instead of focusing on that one pound and quitting, I’ll try to be more diligent about my calorie intake. This week I’ll give up red wine.
Goodbye red wine….for now.
- Stick with anything that’s making you feel better.
- Be sure the way you’re measuring your goals is positive.
- Never do a weight loss challenge with a man.
