The weather is perfect. Not for any type of speed. It’s not the best for working on projects or getting anywhere fast. Snow has finally arrived in the Northwest.
Right now you’re thinking one of two things:
- YAYYYY SNOW!!!!!
- Are you kidding me? I hate snow!
Well, I’m in camp #1. I love snow. When it snows my mind drifts to childhood. A good day would involve playing in the snow with my friend Susie. We would play until our fingers were frozen then enjoy hot chocolate with marshmallows prepared by Mom.
This morning, I’m on the couch following snowflakes through my window. I’m in a cozy sweater in front of the fireplace with coffee in hand. You’d think my plan is a day inside. But no, I’m readying myself for a 5 mile snow run.
I want to enjoy the snow and get in some of my 19 training miles for the week. Why the rush? Why not enjoy my comfy nest for the day? Lucky us, tomorrow, Roger and I are off to Cabo Pulmo, Baja California, Mexico! Life is amazing.
As a kid, I could not have imagined my present life blessings. Posting this, I am overwhelmed with gratitude: for love, home, opportunities for travel and being healthy just to name a few.
