This Friday is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and the beginning of summer.  As a kid, I can’t say I anticipated the date as much as I do now.  I think if the Solstice as a new, New Year.

Back in December, walking with Roger and his sister Patty, I was lagging behind and realized I need to get moving.  My overall feeling was fluffy and low energy.  I decided to run a marathon.  I signed up that day.  In reflection I could have picked something less dramatic but I have managed quite a bit in six months…

In December I weighed 152.4 pounds.  I’m currently 142.8 and pretty psyched about a 9+ pound weight loss!  I promised before and after pictures a few months ago.  Sorry for the delay and here they are.  Picture one is January 31, 2019.  Picture two is today…

I can (honestly) the Vancouver Marathon was fun!!  Definitely, a great deal of that fun was due to my company…

I finished another Camino! The 184 miles were a joy, also due to the company…

Yesterday, friends Liz and Kate were asking what next?   I confess, that question has been sitting at the back of my mind since my return from Spain.  I’ve been downright scared of losing all the momentum I’ve acquired.

I was cruising the internet for some inspiration and found the…

90 day plan!

In the spirit of the Summer Solstice, New, New Year, and the next 90 days….I have set some new goals.  The sky’s the limit…

  1. Increase my fitness: lose another 12 pounds, train for a 1/2 marathon and gain some upper body strength.
  2. Continue to reduce my debt: work enough to pay AND play, 1/2 of each paycheck goes to debt.
  3. Continue to build on my writing: more consistent posts and publish an article about the camino (other than on my blog).

Think 90 days isn’t long enough?  90 days from today is Monday, September 16.  That seems like a long time away.  But it’s only 90 days.  Need more inspiration?  Take a look at this list…
